I let Porter walk to the Woods house alone, granted I can see from my window until he is 2 houses away. But it is scary to be a mom. I know I always feel more comfortable with numbers, so the fact that he was with a friend is great. I think you just have to trust your gut and then use opportunities like this to teach them, because sometimes they don't believe you as much as they would when it is IN THE MOMENT!<br /><br />(But I can't ever imagine my kids walking to school on that busy road! I wouldn't let them walk home unless there are lots of other kids walking home that they know. I don't know. Not in that situation yet. Jules will be able to ride the bus and that scares me to death.
