Other symptoms include diaphoresis (excessive sweating), and loss of deep tendon reflexes (have Rob whack your knee to see if it jerks). Although from what I know, Adie's is a permanent dilation, not on and off... but I'm no doctor.

I'll ask the two optometrists I work for today about it.Kylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03018898670667090282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15021423.post-87443761014194698452009-04-01T22:39:00.000-06:002009-04-01T22:39:00.000-06:00i knew it!!! you're an alien.i knew it!!! you're an alien.kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15886845639783153681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15021423.post-12841363377223582702009-04-01T13:44:00.000-06:002009-04-01T13:44:00.000-06:00Ya, that's kinda weird...cool but weird. Maybe while staring at far away objects your eyes dilate then go to looking focusing on something close. it could also explain your lack of depth perception.Greghttp://www.koppscookings.blogsot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15021423.post-13533584072786280952009-03-31T15:53:00.000-06:002009-03-31T15:53:00.000-06:00That's a cool trick. That's a cool trick.Scott Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11184540789577295422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15021423.post-48765862770275684822009-03-31T14:08:00.000-06:002009-03-31T14:08:00.000-06:00Hi Melissa Since you aren't on drugs (meth is the ...Hi Melissa
Since you aren't on drugs (meth is the most common cause of both eyes being dilated) you may have Adie's syndrome, a condition in which one pupil contracts more slowly than the other in response to light. It's usually caused either by a malfunction in the mechanism that controls the dilation reflex or from a harmless inflammation of the eye nerves. Try going from a dark room to a very light room and see what happens. Hope all is well.
