Aunt Lindy

Madelyn met her Aunt Lindy for the first time yesterday - and immediately fell in love. Maddie was showing off for her the whole time we were there - laughing, smiling, and showing Lindy all of her tricks. Lindy's son, Spencer, wanted to hold his new cousin. When we asked him what he thought of her, his answer was, "She's heavy."

Instant Fix

We've really done it this time. Madelyn - at four months - has fallen in love with the Teletubbies. Here are some shots of Madelyn before we turned on the Teletubies, and after. Keep in mind these pictures were taken within thirty seconds of each other.

What kind of mother...??

The other day I was out running errands with Maddie. In the two hours we were out, there was a bit of a temperature drop. As I'm headed back to the car - all the perfect mothers out there are giving me the "Where's her coat?" glare. To make matters worse, Madelyn has learned how to fake cough. So now the "where's her coat?" has turned into "No wonder she has Pneumonia." I decided it was time to buy her a jacket.

Baffled

We are starting to see some kind of support system underneath Madelyn's chin. It appears to be a pole-like body part that connects her head to her shoulders. We don't want to jump to any conclusions as of yet, but it is possible that there may actually be a neck under all of those chins. This is, however, only speculation. We will update everyone when we have more solid information.

Now if only we could find her wrists.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Look out Dad, Greg, Johnny, and (for pity's sake) Dan...Rob's starting his Christmas beard early. Let the competition begin....

Four Fantastic Months

All day I was thinking that tomorrow Maddie would be four months. But as I sat down at the computer I realized that it was actually today. I've been planning on making a four month post with some great pictures, but Maddie is already asleep. It's amazing - she is so grown up. She is learning to sit up, and rolls all over the place. She loves to hold her spoon and her fake keys, and now that she's teething - everything goes right into her mouth. She is the most amazing gift, and I cherish every day I get to spend with her. I can honestly say that these have been the best four months of my life. Thank you Rob and Madelyn for making me happier than I ever thought I could be - words can not express the love I have for you both.

"...But I don't want to be a pirate..."

That was pretty much Maddie's attitude about the bunny costume. She got really mad when I put it on her, and basically huffed and puffed the whole time she was wearing it. For the longest time she just glared at me, as if to say, "What were you thinking with this one..." Rob also laughed at the bunny costume. He said we should have saved it for Easter. But I thought it was cute, and so did everyone else. Now the more I look at it, the more I realize that it's just like the pajamas that Aunt Clara gave Ralphie in "A Christmas Story."

Grandma and Grandpa Wilson

Maddie just LOVES going over to Rob's parent's house. She knows that while she's there anyone and everyone will play with her. She lights up as soon as she sees their faces.
