I have always been the homesick type. ALWAYS. I can't even begin to count the number of times I called my parents from sleepovers asking them to come and pick me up. It's a triat that I'm sure most of you would not see coming from me, but it's the truth. As I've gotten older the immediate need to see my family has subsided, but there are certain times of the year that being away from them is almost unbearable. Christmas is one of them. Our family had AMAZING Christmases together, and even as an adult I miss them like crazy. I get choked up so easily while making Christmas cookies, decorating the tree, and listening to all the family-favorite Christmas songs. It is for that reason that I have changed my music playlist (only for a couple of days) to play one of my most cherished Christmas-memory songs. It is the theme from the movie, "The Snowman," and my dad and I used to play the duet on the piano every Christmas. Merry Christmas, family!
These are some pictures of the last Christmas I spent with my family...I can't believe it has been THREE YEARS!

I didn't know you played the piano. I can't believe how small Maddie was. I'm so sorry you miss your family so much.
we love you Melissa! I hope we can all help you not miss your family
You can come on a cruise with me...will that help take away some of the homesickness??
Thanks Melissa. I miss you too. It's hard to hold back the tears listening to the music and picturing us sitting together at the piano. I love you. Dad
