I walk around aimlessly, try some samples, get gas, and generally go home empty handed. Oh, and I pay $50 a year just to do this. Help me out, friends...what are you actually buying at Costco?
I love Costco! I get the diapers in bulk and the milk is a great deal. Their produce is usually excellent and it's the only place to get un-cooked tortilla that once you taste them you will never go back to the store bought flour ones. I get my bulk t.p. there too! Also the kids clothes can be great deals too! What are YOU talking about?
I get Mal's soymilk there...she's allergic to cow's milk and they have the cheapest. Goldfish crackers, facial wipes, costco's brand of zyrtec(cheap. cheap. cheap.) paper towels, garbage bags, milk, eggs, chicken nuggets, the list goes on and on. Oh, and I can't forget churros(from the food court thingy)....to DIE for!
Oh, Marci - you make a good point. I should PROBABLY add that even though I don't buy anything - I still LOVE the store. That's why I can't seem to cancel my membership! But I need ideas as to what I should buy. They don't have my brand of paper towels or TP, so that cuts out those ideas.
We buy the tortillas that are uncooked (they are so much better than the mission ones!), you just heat them up on a skillet, and they are cooked! We also love the "Jacks Salsa", so good! They have good chicken nuggets for the kids, juice boxes, dishwasher detergent (liquid kirkland brand is usually the best deal, we notice no difference from Cascade), canned chicken (which we replace for tuna, because we aren't big fans of tuna), bagged salads...the list is endless!
Your brand of TP? Please don't tell me that this is another one of the scars from your childhood brought on by a controlling father that bought rolls and rolls of sandpaper-like TP at Sam's Club! But seriously, yes I'm like you. I visit Sam's twice a year to buy their big bags of frozen shrimp for the holidays.
well. i buy diapers, wipes, fruit leather, goldfish crackers, taco seasoning, uncooked tortillas, kids clothes, ben's jeans, tortilla chips, Jack's Salsa, nuts, frozen fish, chicken legs and breasts, bread, muffins, fresh produce, eggs (the 5 dozen package). after reading other people's comments i should probably also buy tp, paper towels, and both dish and laundry detergents. Kirkland signature brand is usually made by the competing name brand, so you should check the manufacturing label. they may carry your "brand" and you don't even know it! oh, i also buy canned tuna and canned chicken and canned salmon there. and afterwards get a slice of pizza, a hot dog and a dipped ice cream bar (SO GLAD they brought those back.)
laundry detergent, diapers, dishwashing detergent, fabric softener, rotisserie chicken, wipes, cheese, (lysol or clorox) cleaning wipes, tp, paper towels, chicken nuggets, bread and muffins that I freeze. I'm sure there is more but those are the basics.

Sometimes I go just for a churro.
