We had a really busy weekend with my mom and her fiance, David, in town. {Oh yeah, uh...maybe I forgot to mention that my MOM IS ENGAGED!} Unfortunately I only captured a few pictures of our hike up Donut Falls. The other activities (blessing Evan and a surprise grad party for Rob) went un-photographed.

Rob found a butterfly.
People everywhere started taking pictures of Rob and his find. We even overheard one lady saying, "Oh wow - look at that! The butterfly must be his spirit guide." Seriously.

I can't believe that after all that, I don't have any pictures of my mom and David. I'll check my phone, and post some of those pictures soon. Thanks, you guys, for coming out. We all had such a great time and can't wait to see you in October.

Donut Falls? I have never heard of it. Is it a good hike? Meaning can I do it without passing out from fatigue?

y know something funny? They used to call Ross "butterfly bill" because he would go stand out in the yard for hours and butterflies would land all over him. Maybe rob got the talent from him!
Thanks for such a fun weekend. I'm completely exhausted today, how about you (but it was all worth it.)

How ironic that you have the hike to donut falls so close to the pics of actual donuts!! Both blogs made me hungry. What a great trip. LOVED it. Loved seeing the kids, loved seeing the bigger kids...loved seeing the Lasley's again...will never eat at The Blue Iguana after 11:00 a.m. again, and even loved the no oxygen hike. Thanks for a wonderful time!

How fun! I can't believe you took kids though.. You are brave. Good thing you had lots of helpers. The butterfly picture is really cool, and Ella is a DOLL. Her hair is getting pretty red... SO cute! Other than her hair color though, she looks so much like Maddie and Jude!
