Madelyn Alyse said goodbye to her first tooth on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at approximately 6:15pm. All of Madelyn's family was with the tooth in its final moments. Although the family originally wanted the tooth to slip away in its own time, the tooth was euthanized in hopes of easing its pain. The tooth has since been donated to science, and Madelyn has been remunerated for her generous donation. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that everyone eat a piece of candy in memory of this sweet tooth.

yeah Maddie!! That first one is such a huge deal. Anson pulled one out on the same day too! I totally forgot about the tooth fairy and he came in so sad the next morning to my room. So we told him that the TF is not like Santa and can do it all in one nite, some times it takes a few nights for her. Luckily she came the next night and he was happy with that.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Madelyn's tooth at this time of transition. May you all find peace . . . .
Poor little toothy. My heart goes out to the rest of the teeth and the hole that has been left in their midst by the extraction.
You are hilarious, I laugh every time I look at your blog. Where do you get your wit?
Alright! Looking good Maddie - can't wait to hear what the Tooth Fairy brings you :)
