Even though they got a bit lost and had to hitchhike (don't get me started) they all seemed to have a great time. You can enjoy the experience the same way I did - in retrospect.
They took the chairlift up - looks like Jude enjoyed himself |
Maddie was a little bit more apprehensive, but survived |
They sat on trees |
Misused hiking sticks |
Picked plenty of Stinging Nettle |
Saw about a million of these |
And finally arrived |
My nature-loving husband |

Lost - but happy |
BDEM: After taking a Sunday to recover from the outdoors, the family hit up one of our favorite spots to enjoy the fall - Cascade Springs. So prepare yourself - more nature pics coming tomorrow!

Wow! I'm proud of those kids of yours for making it through that long hike! I know that hike particularly well--Stewart Falls, right? That's the hike where, three years ago, I tripped on a tree root, fell, crushed my collar bone on a large boulder and now sport seven screws and a metal plate because of that gorgeous place. I still love that hike though :D
Love the pictures! And way to go Maddie and Jude... I don't know if I could make it on that hike!
those are some CUTE pics!!! Think we need to go up there and I havent seen a wooly catipillar for years and years. Played with them when I was little/.
