I had a blow dryer do that once too!
I'm actually pretty sure that my hairdryer exactly like that did that. Does seem unsafe, somehow :0
haha! my last one burst into flames one day... luckily my hair didn't, too!
You'd think they would be HEAT resistant wouldn't you? You're right though...that's a lot to ask from an appliance that blows HEAT!
