Tip for New Moms

If your first child is a girl, don't get too set on the word "panties."  It's better to potty train all of your kids using the non-gender-specific term "undies."  Doing this will help to keep your son  from talking about his new Cars Panties in Kohls.  Then you won't be laughed at by strangers in the fitting room.

Parent blunders aside, we're so proud of our potty trained little boy.

Here he is on his "potty-chart-completion" surprise.

Wow, good job Jude. I made my first real attempt today to try to get Jules to go on the potty. I woke her up from a dead sleep and put her right on the potty. I stuck her hands in warm water, I ran some water for the noise effect, I even went potty right next to her to show her how it was done...NOTHING. Right when I got her off and had given up, she went on the floor. How the heck do you even start potty training? I don't want to buy diapers for 2 kids.
