Oh, Dear...

Rob has been planning on taking the kids hiking for weeks - and today he and the two older kids finally ventured out.  I decided it would be best if I stayed home with Ella and Claire so the three of them could actually enjoy themselves (a.k.a. Rob only has to listen to two whining kids at the half-way point rather than three and a crying baby).  With both little kids napping, a quiet and clean house, I decided to grab a snack and watch a show I had on the DVR.  Something inside of me (hormones) told me I needed some junk food, so I pulled out some tortilla chips and a diet pepsi. Mmm, not QUITE what I wanted, so I returned to the kitchen to add some cheese.  Yessssss....NACHOS!  When was the last time I nuked chips and cheese?  It's been ages.  I couldn't quite remember what a normal serving size of nachos would be, so I basically filled the plate.  I then sat down and ate all of the nachos.  In the world.  I must have been making a plate for a giant, because I'm pretty sure no normal person in their right mind eats that many nachos and lives to tell about it.  It wasn't five minutes after I finished all three thousand chips that my stomach decided to turn on me.  I have obviously initiated war, and am not sure I'll survive the next round.  For all of you out there, I just want to let you know that death by nacho is a noble, noble cause.  Please think of me whenever you tell the "Nah-Cho Cheese" joke, and never cease to remind my husband that this is all his fault.  He never should have left me and the chips alone in the same house.  He knows better than that.

I think I am going to attempt mowing the lawn.  That way, if I do suffer a heart attack, it will appear as though it was from over exertion rather than from cheese clogging every artery in my body.  Death by mowing-lawn-for-husband.  Oh, that is priceless.

BDEM:  Granted it's only halfway through the day - but I have to say it...definitely eating the nachos.  The hours that follow may change my mind, but for now - with the taste of tortilla chips and cheese still on my lips - mmmmm, the nachos.  Definitely the nachos.

hahaha! this is hilarious! Tonight for dinner we had... NACHOS! and I ate two HUGE platefuls! I can't believe I ate that much. There must be something in the air! No mowing the lawn for me, though... I'll probably follow up with some ice cream! haha!

You make me laugh everytime I read your blog! You are hilarious! And is it bizarre that this post is making crave nachos rather than be repulsed by them?? Mmmmm... nachos. Maybe it was the BDEM... Which I love by the way.

Oh man that was so funny! I get frustrated sometimes that I can't eat like I did when I was younger without paying for it.
